Teaser Trailer
Produced by the Fringe Theatre for Episode 2 of the Fringe Revue 2020.
The Dance Musical
Cuban Movements participated for the first time in the 2021 Edmonton Fringe Festival, where it debuted an original dance musical titled “Mi Habana Querida”. This production was made possible due to having been awarded the 2021 Mowat Diversity Award for the Edmonton Fridge Festival. Only one award is available annually and it is an honour to have been awarded it.
“Mi Habana Querida” is an immersion in the rich cultural heritage of Cuba through a dance journey from traditional AfroCuban to modern styles of today. At the heart of the story are Cubano Pablo and American Tiffany, who fight for their love against the backdrop of the Cuban Revolution.
